La Jolie Suite is owned and operated by Mel and Bailey. They spent 6 years working side-by-side at a high-end salon in the Twin Cities. Then one day these two entrepreneurial free spirits looked at each other and said “we should start our own salon!” So they did.

Hi, I’m Mel! I love giving my clients exactly the haircut, style, and look they want (or helping them try out a new look when they don’t know what they want)! Whether it’s a cut to keep you looking fresh or special styling for a wedding or event, I want you to feel like a star.
I graduated from Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 2010, and spent 6 years doing haircuts and styling at a high-end salon in the Twin Cities. There I received advanced training, perfected my technique, kept tabs on all the latest trends and styles, finished top 10 for Best Style/Cut in my salon’s annual hair competition, and kept up my love for both my clients and the work I do!
When I’m not at La Jolie Suite I love spending time with family and friends, music, being outside, traveling, and finding new adventures.
Hi, I’m Bailey! I love giving my clients the unique, inspired, one-of-a-kind look they’re after through all color techniques.
I graduated from Aveda Institute in Minneapolis in 2009, and have spent 8 years doing color, waxing, and styling for a high-end salon in the Twin Cities. During these 8 years I received advanced training, developed a love for advanced color techniques (balayage, ombre), completed the Candy Shaw Balayage Class, and attended the Chicago Hair Show & Classes. I also participated in my former salon’s annual hair show, where I placed top 10 in the company for Best Color and won Best Color for my salon location.
When I’m not at La Jolie Suite I love running, traveling, finding new and fun restaurants, interior design, antique shopping, and visiting my family in Iowa.
Our studio space is in the Sola Salons building in the heart of Saint Paul’s Cathedral Hill. Sola Salons is an innovative, collaborative building where beauty professionals of all kinds manage their studios and own their businesses. A parking lot and free street parking are both readily available.
We're in suite #24. When you enter the Sola Salons building, take a left and walk to the end of the hallway. We're the last suite on the left!
